Goodness, I’m overdue for a blog post. What on earth have I been doing? Well…lots…and, suddenly, it’s fall! Amazing how that happens.
Winter turned out to be a very busy season for me – but not all of it ceramics-related. So as we move into spring, it’s a relief to be settling back into something resembling a steady work schedule and taking on some new projects.
Being a lover of winter, I took advantage of a crisp and snowy January to trade some studio time for an outdoor break – but not for too long. I’m back to work!
My studio time in 2017 ended with one last big project – a series of tiles made to order for a custom bathroom installation.
This was a special year for bird watching in my own neighborhood, and I was inspired by the seabirds I saw while traveling.
Perhaps my most ambitious project of 2015 – a highly detailed, sculptural ‘Ocean Vessel’.
After months of planning and design, the project of the summer of 2014 was THE BACKSPLASH!
So how are those pieces made? I get that question rather a lot, and find that pictures are worth more than words in trying to explain.
