…More About Collective

Located in the historic downtown of Woodstock, Vermont, Collective – The Art of Craft – truly is a collective gallery operated (as of this writing) by a group of 13 member artists. Not only do we each offer our own work at the gallery, we members take turns staffing the shop – so stop in and you’ll get to meet at least one of us! I showed my work at Collective as a guest artist some years ago, then joined as a regular member early in 2019.

The gallery is a marvelous place to visit, then visit again. Every member keeps a variety of their own work in rotation, and we are also joined by new guest artists every few months. Keep a regular eye on us and you’ll find that something in the gallery is always changing!

The most seasonal display? That’s likely to be Wanda Huff’s – adorable year-round, her whimsical up-cycled sweater creations have also included hand puppet ghosts for Halloween and giant ears of corn during harvest season.

Wearable? Marcia Hammond offers woven clothing and more, Carrie Cahill Mulligan’s felted hats are the coziest thing you’re ever likely to put on your head, Lynn Adams and Deirdre Donnelly both make stunning jewelry (see me out and about, and you might catch me wearing some!)

Decorative? Photographer Nobu Fujii brings his ‘Exquisite Vermont’ Haiku imagery to our walls. Functional as well as decorative? Check out metalwork by Doc Bagley, woodwork from Scott Duffy, and lamps by Highbeams (Trenny Robb and Bob Michaud).

And that’s not all! Nick Kekic offers marvelous creations in glass while the clay medium is now represented times three: Rising Meadow Pottery (Nick Seidner & Diane Rosenmiller), Kathy Myers, and (of course) me!

You’ll find us at 47 Central Street, Woodstock Vermont – come visit!
