My studio time in 2017 ended with one last big project – a series of tiles made to order for a custom bathroom installation. Fun? Mostly. Nerve-wracking? Always. Successful? Thankfully, yes. This project revisited some of my earliest designs and color combinations, taking motifs from plates and bowls I made years ago and making them much bigger. And flatter.
It was so interesting going back to some of these designs that I might do a similar round of tableware in the near future. Thinking about it, anyway…
