This was a special year for bird watching in my own neighborhood, and I was inspired by the seabirds I saw while traveling. Not everyone has been immortalized in a ceramics design (yet), but I did work on capturing my resident hummingbird and swallow families, the ravens who entertained themselves uprooting my vegetable garden, and the egrets and terns I watched along the coast. Plus there was fun to be had with new sculptural forms. More bird inspired art will definitely be coming…
