About the Studio

About the studio…what’s going on in there?

The studio is my creative space, work zone, home-away-from-home and is constantly in a state of flux. Visitors are welcome, with the ‘by chance or by appointment’ caveat – details on the Studio Visits post.

Although I call it my studio and showroom, the ‘showroom’ may be completely taken over at any time by works in various stages of progress. You may also catch me packing or unpacking from a show. So, if you stop by the ‘showroom’ to shop you may have to bear with me while I clear space and pull finished works out of their storage bins – which can be exciting (rather like opening presents!).

As for the workspace – anything goes. You may find me deep in a glaze bucket, holding a sculpture together at a precarious stage, or calmly carving a design on a small tile. If I expect your visit I’ll try hard to be at a hands-washed point of my day, but I don’t make promises.

So…feel free to stop in but expect some messiness and, also, dogs (a/k/a the studio support staff).
